Good to hear from you, Terry. I very much hope so, because what's been happening since Israel broke the ceasefire two months ago plumbs new depths in human depravity.

It's all quite sad. Corbin was so wronged.

Yes, it was extraordinary the way that both the mainstream establishment (and especially the media) and the Labour Party itself worked so assiduously to destroy him, J C. Our broken first-past-the-post system often fails to reflect the popular vote, so the inconvenient truth has been airbrushed out of history that Corbyn got more votes in 2017 than any time since Tony Blair's landslide victory in 1997, and even got more votes in 2019 than Starmer did when he won in 2024. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_history_of_the_Labour_Party_(UK)

All participants in this are monsters.

Absolutely, J C, and we need to shun them all in perpetuity, and hope that, eventually, there will be a way for all of them to be held accountable.

Yes. Just arrived back in the states from Canada. It was an interesting election. I just happened to be there. tRump hurt the conservatives. That is great news. However, I don't think the bankster (Carney) is good either.

Exactly, J C. Another centrist, serving Israel and the corporations. It will be better for Canada (and the world) than Poilievre, but not significantly so, in that the ruinous status quo will be preserved.

Sadly, probably true.

As Australia's elections have just shown, with the victory of Albanese, Trump is a liability for right-wing parties right now, which is good news, J C. I just hope that the people can find a way to make the centrists aware that "business as usual" is no longer tenable. At least it's better than the UK, where, bucking this anti-Trump trend, the far-right, via the thinly-disguised fascists of Reform UK, made huge gains in our own local elections this week, but Labour, resolutely out of touch, are failing to take any lessons on board, and are doubling down on their commitment to be as right-wing as possible, shedding more votes every time they open their bitter, cruel, authoritarian mouths.

I so agree. I think Americans and other folks are waking up more. US people fear the tents, hunger, etc. Everything has been weaponized to hurt free speech, freedom of association, etc. Go to jail, have zero housing options. It's disgusting beyond reason. Supporting Israhell is just more cruelty from the fake bible thumpers, like tRump.
